Beyond talk therapy:
Nervous-system-deep,
soul-literate change.
It takes courage to recognize it's time to change and even more to ask for help to make it happen.
This work focuses on:
Supporting you in transforming what's blocking you from connecting to the core, creative and joyful self within - in order for you to live the life you dream of.
My name is Rachel Sillman, I am a Holistic, EMDR Psychotherapist.
Following the call to become a Marriage and Family Therapist developed after many years spent working in the holistic health field. Since 2012, I have pursued the study of meditation, yoga and mindfulness in order to help others alleviate challenges they face with depression, anxiety and other mental health imbalances. After years studying at various retreat centers, I began working with clients as a life coach and hypnotist. During this time, I worked with numerous clients to help them learn how to regulate their emotions and transform behavioral patterns which led to healthier life styles. As more and more trauma presented itself in this work, I was inspired to go back to graduate school to pursue my Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Los Angeles.
While in school, I spent time working as a mental health coach for adults recovering from addiction and trauma and helped them develop essential life skills and behavioral changes that allowed them to thrive in the world and achieve their goals. Simultaneously, I also began my training as a Marriage and Family Therapy trainee at the Women’s Clinic Counseling Center, where I worked with clients suffering from anxiety, trauma, grief and depression. I also spent time working as a therapist at various addiction treatment centers in LA leading both group and individual sessions to support clients in finding freedom from addiction.
